Nice writeup when I won the Theresa Pollak Award for Words, an award given by Richmond magazine.
The Kingdom of Little Wounds visits the house where I learned to read and write. Back then, the house was yellow, the driveway was gravel, and we didn't have fancy big cars.
Colleen Curran and I had books out the same week, and a local photographer posed us this way. Read her Whores on the Hill; it's terrific!
