Ten years ago, it was Midge's birthday. Midge--Barbie's best friend, right? She had never had an essay or article devoted to herself. Was Midge just another accessory, like Ken? Way back then, under pressure from the person who would become my spouse, I wrote a history and exegesis of Midge and her fans. And here it is ...
